Our Natural Democracy

Natural Law #4
The Right to Citizen Final Approval
The Principle:
It is a natural requirement of human consciousness to be heard. Because every law passed directly affects our daily lives, finances, and freedoms, citizens have a natural right to vote on the major issues themselves—not just vote to hire the people who look after their section of the country.
We have all heard the tired political phrase: "The people want this."
But the truth is, politicians have almost no real information on what the people actually want. There is no open public forum to gauge true citizen thought. When we are forced to vote only for a person every four years, we have to accept all of their baggage, corporate influence, and backroom deals.
Politicians claim a "mandate" to do whatever they want based on a single election victory, even if the public completely disagrees with a specific new law.
It is time for the voter to be respected.

The Two Great Myths of the Political Class
Whenever it is suggested that citizens should have the final sign-off on major laws, the political establishment panics and throws up two main excuses to keep power in fewer hands:

Myth 1: "It is too laborious and complicated for voters.
Myth 2: "The public isn't ready for this level of decision-making."

Myth 1: "It is too laborious and complicated for voters."
The Reality:
Government bills do not roll out every single week.
It takes months, sometimes years, for an issue to work its way through Parliament. Citizens will not be overwhelmed by daily trivia; they will simply be called upon to vote on a handful of pivotal, deeply vetted national directions each year.
Furthermore, as Albert Einstein famously noted: "If you can't explain it simply, you don't understand it well enough." If a law is too convoluted to explain to the public, it is a bad law.
True mastery means breaking complex issues down into plain, honest dialogue that any citizen can understand.
We have secure, instant digital technology for global banking and commerce—we absolutely have the infrastructure to safely listen to and count the votes of our citizens.

Myth 2: "The public isn't ready for this level of decision-making."
The Reality:
Human consciousness cannot grow unless it is challenged with responsibility.
For generations, the system has kept voters passive—forcing them to pick a temporary "boss" every four years and then sit in total silence.
Citizens cannot grow unless they are trusted with new perspectives and meaningful communication. When you give citizens a real voice on real issues, you spark a cultural evolution.
People will naturally seek out quality information, engage in better discussions, and look at broader perspectives. Our democracy will get stronger and healthier simply because we trusted the people to grow.

The Solution: The Citizen Final-Approval Act
When the conversation shifts,
from toxic party politics to real, constructive problem-solving,
society wins.
This law establishes a balanced framework for governance:
-
The Framework: The politicians we hire will continue to do the desk work—they will research, debate, and draft legislation.
-
-
The Law: However, for any major, non-emergency law altering national infrastructure, systemic taxation, or fundamental rights, the government must secure the Final Approval of the voters through a secure, nationwide issue-vote before that bill can officially become law.
Democracy is about voting for ideas,
not voting for people.
